    Sep 18, 2009 · Steve i have a question about another vehicle. 96 ford explorer 4.0. The vehicle will crank but not start after running for awhile. If you drive it for lets say 20-30 minutes, shut the vehicle off to run into the store, then come back out, it wont start. Cranks fine. Vehicle needs to sit for about 30-45 minutes or so, then will start up just fine.

    I have a 2006 Saturn Vue v6 awd with 140,000 miles. I have owned it approximately 8 months. I bought it because I live in Michigan and they are good in snow. I also have that totally dead when trying to start it problem. I find disconnecting the ground cable on the battery for 5 minutes will reset the computer and the car will start.

    A buddy of mine just put a new engine in my 98 1.8t and the d*mn thing wont start. Their is fuel getting to the engine but I wont find out til later today if there is spark. I would drain the gas pull the line from the inlet of the fuel rail and turn the key to on with out cranking the engine, the fuel pump should force all the bad gas out then...The 2005 Saturn Ion has 9 problems reported for ignition switch faulty, no crank/no start. Average repair cost is $550 at 62,200 miles.

    Jun 19, 2019 · There are a lot of issues that can cause your Vue to crank, but not start. The engine needs air, fuel, and a spark in order to run. It is highly likely that if the engine is cranking, but not starting that it has thrown an OBDII code. It is definitely worth it to use an OBDII scanner to check and see if the engine has thrown any trouble codes.
